Officials in the Hudson Valley are preparing for a potential impact from Hurricane Isaias.
The Westchester County Emergency Services is trying to prep for a significant storm while also dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
“With COVID still being an issue in our area, it does throw some curves into our planning,” says Westchester County Emergency Services Commissioner John Cullen. “Things like sheltering no longer can be accomplished due to social distancing, so we’re working with our Red Cross partners. We’ve been speaking with them, as far as housing if needed.”
Cullen says his team is starting to formulate plans for the storm this week with the possibility of implementing them as early as Monday.
