Latimer: Bee-Line to run on reduced schedule
Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced changes to the Bee-Line bus system and gave an update on coronavirus cases in the county.

As of Monday night, Latimer says there are 9,967 cases in Westchester County, including 641 new cases. A total of 275 people are hospitalized with 54 new patients. He says there has been six new deaths raising the total to 25 deaths, so far, in the county.

Yonkers has 608 cases; New Rochelle has 378 cases, and Greenburgh has 304 cases. Those three cities are the three hardest hit areas so far.

Latimer says that Bee-Line buses are going to be running on a reduced schedule, but that there is no fee during the pandemic.

Starting April 1, the Bee-Line Bus System will operate on a Saturday schedule for six days a week: Monday-Saturday.

The line will continue to operate Sunday service on Sundays.

Certain routes will have extra trips in addition to their regular Saturday schedule: routes 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 42, 43 and 60.

The extra trips will be in effect on weekdays only.
