Westchester Board of Legislators employee arrested in White Plains hit-and-run

A Westchester County Board of Legislators employee was arrested in connection to a hit-and-run incident in White Plains.
Police say David Ford drove off after striking the victim.
The individual suffered injuries but is OK, according to authorities.
Ford was charged with a misdemeanor and released.
The Board released a statement that says in part, "The Board of Legislators suspended the employee effective immediately. Our thoughts are with the victim. We are cooperating with the White Plains Police Department."
