News 12 is showcasing some of the different ways Hudson Valley businesses are reinventing themselves during this "new normal" on our show “We’re Open.”
This week, News 12's Carol Wilkinson visits Harmony Designs Furniture & Interiors, Inc. on South Fourth Avenue in Mount Vernon.
Harmony Designs Furniture & Interiors, Inc. owner Robin Meyers says it was challenging having to close in March.
News 12 is told the store reopened in June with a plan. During the closure, Meyers’ team took the time to redo their website, cultivate relationships, and more.
“Our customers are really consumer-conscious, they come here with intention, they love a shopping experience. We offer that. We make sure we have a clean, beautiful environment.”
This week’s “We’re Open” also features Richie Rich Caribbean Taste restaurant on South Fifth Avenue in Mount Vernon.
The island restaurant specializes in mouth-watering classic Jamaican cuisine to go. “We have a very nice following, so wherever we go people come. Our food is made fresh from the highest quality ingredients, so wherever we are, people show up,” says Duane Richie, marketing director.
