The wet and wild weather that is wreaked havoc on the Hudson Valley over the past two days is coming to an end.
News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says a flash flood watch is in effect until noon, but scattered storms should clear the region by mid-afternoon.
Van Eck say this evening and the rest of the holiday weekend should be dry and pleasant.
The other piece of good news is that Hurricane Arthur, which has been upgraded to a Category 2 storm, is moving off to the northeast and is not expected to affect the region directly. Van Eck, however, warns that anyone going to the ocean beaches be aware that the storm is creating strong riptides and heavy surf.
