Westchester County Executive George Latimer is providing a coronavirus update.
Briefing Notes:
- Latimer: There are 30,708 confirmed postive cases of COVID-19 in Westchester dating back to roughly March 1.
- Latimer: There are 4,749 active cases in the county. The number has "decreased dramatically."
- There are 1,184 deaths in the county so far. 17 more people died on Wednesday.
- So far, 105,242 county residents have been tested for COVID-19, or 10.5% of the population.
- Latimer says free masks are being distributed in Greenburgh to minority residents who are being disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
