Westchester County Executive George Latimer is providing a coronavirus update.
Briefing Notes:
Latimer: There are 30,708 confirmed postive cases of COVID-19 in Westchester dating back to roughly March 1.
Latimer: There are 4,749 active cases in the county. The number has "decreased dramatically."
There are 1,184 deaths in the county so far. 17 more people died on Wednesday.
So far, 105,242 county residents have been tested for COVID-19, or 10.5% of the population.
Latimer says free masks are being distributed in Greenburgh to minority residents who are being disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
