Wal-Mart is hoping to make holiday shopping a little safer this season.
In the past, Black Friday shopping has been characterized by people stampeding into stores in hopes of grabbing deeply discounted items.
This year, Wal-Mart is getting rid of doorbusters deals and says nearly all of its deals will be available online as well as at stores.
Wal-Mart will once again open its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
