The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Haverstraw's Bowline Point Park has been rededicated nearly two years after it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
The memorial was rebuilt by students in the North Rockland High School "Life Summer Program."
"They take a lot of pride in it and its very important that they honor these men and these veterans that lost their lives," says teacher Gina Tedesco.
The students were helped by village workers and members of Haverstraw's Watch Fire group, which holds a special service at the monument every Memorial Day.
