Dozens of veterans took a special trip to Washington, D.C. Saturday.
Sixty-four World War II veterans representing every branch of the armed forces traveled to the nation's capital as part of the 12th annual Honor Flight.
The veterans were recognized for their service and took an all-expenses-paid trip to see the war memorials.
The men and women were recognized at a ceremony at the Westchester County Airport before boarding the plane.
The next Honor Flight is set for some time in October, but organizers are asking anyone who might know a veteran who could fill a seat to contact the Honor Flight program.
