A Valhalla woman is $3 million richer thanks to a scratch-off ticket she bought at a supermarket in White Plains.
On Feb. 15, Darlene Smith bought a couple of lotto tickets from the machine at her local Stop & Shop.
Smith has an option of receiving a lump sum of cash or 20 yearly payments.
She never expected to win, and she says she and her son stared at the numbers in disbelief.
Smith has worked at the post office in White Plains for 27 years and says she doesn't plan on quitting her job.
She says she's not sure what she plans to do with the money.
