5h agoUsing one judge's hit song, a Hudson Valley singer has taken his first big step on a popular TV competition.
During David Vogel’s tryout on Tuesday night's episode of “The Voice,” the 23-year-old from Valhalla struck a chord with pop star Ariana Grande, performing his version of her hit "Breathin" - and it worked!
Ariana tells David she was very impressed. "That was so beautiful. I thought that was a really unique take. I love that you play an instrument too. Absolutely"
Since she hit her button before the other judges, David will be on Team Ariana Grande.
