The coronavirus didn't bring one New Yorker down on a very special birthday.
Owen, a World War II veteran, turned 101 yesterday.
His party had to be canceled due to the pandemic, but his friends at Ashton Place Senior Living in upstate New York still wanted to celebrate him.
A picture asking for 101,000 likes and comments for his birthday went viral and has actually collected more than one million responses.
A fun fact about Owen – during the war, he was commissioned to paint nose art on many planes including Doc, one of the only two B-29 bomber planes still flying today.
