Have to bundle up for it. Oh, it's gonna be super out there but dry though, right? Any sort of rain or snow because I know we had those festive flakes yesterday. But listen, it's going to be layers upon layers. If we're heading out towards the Rockefeller Center tree lighting tonight, the winds are also going to be blustery, which is why it's going to feel colder than what the thermometer says wind gusts forecast. But pretty much you're seeing those 15 to 25 mile per hour gusts into the lighter morning and the afternoon hours. So the wind's not going anywhere anytime soon. At least not today. It's gonna make it feel quite a bit colder. So later on this morning again, it feels like temperatures teens to around 20 not much of an improvement this afternoon. So heading out for lunch, maybe pack that lunch though right now before head out the door. So you don't have to be outside an extra bit longer because take a look at 27 degrees that feels like temperature for Bathgate as well as M Sania at 26 for Mott Haven 26 for Pelham Bay feels like temperature at around noon today into the afternoon and evening, we'll see a little bit of an improvement, but again, twenties more or less will be, feels like temperatures again. 23 for Park Chester and North Bay Chester at about, uh, eight o'clock this evening into the overnight hours. We'll see those temperatures stumble again but not as cold as this morning. This morning is gonna be the coldest morning tomorrow, not as cold but still bundle up because it feels like temperatures 23 26 23. It's still going to be a cold start tomorrow morning, improvements begin into the afternoon as the sunshine comes up, the wind changes direction to more of a southerly wind and that's a milder wind. So the temperatures are going to start off near freezing tomorrow into the afternoon. Get up into the middle, maybe even upper 40 so hour by hour, you could see us getting up to about 47 to 48 degrees into the afternoon. The next weather story is actually going to be rain on the way for Friday afternoon. It starts off north and west, but I think by about two or three P ma couple of showers are possible and then likely for the evening commute. There's going to be a little bit of an issue though for Friday evening's commute, maybe make a little bit earlier of a getaway there Friday afternoon and then the weekend is looking ok for now, the big, the big thing here is that it'll be near 50 degrees. We'll enjoy that.

Powers. I did not agree to this bitter blast. I don't think many of us did actually. I mean, this is the coldest air that we've seen. You know, we've had a couple of cold nights already, but this is, it, temperatures are dropping into the twenties and we still have some wind chills. So that's the issue. A few more cold mornings ahead. But notice the difference for Thursday, we're near freezing and Friday finally above freezing for that morning commute. So tomorrow is going to be the hardest day to get through. Make sure you are nice and warm, make sure the kids are nice and warm at the bus stop in the morning. Temperatures near 27 but it's about 10 degrees colder with the winds. That's how it's going to feel and it's cold all day long. It's brisk and chilly throughout the afternoon. Temperatures don't even break 48 degrees. Now, with those winds sticking around, we're going to have a trash cans knocked over again and you know what mine was knocked down this morning. So there's a good possibility of tomorrow's your trash pickup day. They could be knocked over. Nothing stronger than that, luckily the winds will continue to simmer down. But heading into the morning, they pick back up again and into the afternoon. The only difference tomorrow is that they start to turn westerly and this is a sign that warmer air will be coming our way, especially by Thursday, they go southwest. So we still have a breeze but it's all hinging on the direction that the wind is coming from. And right now those winds are coming down out of the north and that is the cold air direction. We have some festive flakes, flurries and snow showers today. And there's a small risk we could see a little bit more for tomorrow. But really, I think most of that came through with that front passing by the coldest air is here now and then it's on the move. By the time we get to Thursday, milder air returns, temperatures get back on track and it's actually going to be normal if not above normal as we close out the week. Now, tomorrow there will be some sun and some clouds on the way, but that sun is going to do very little to warm us up. So make sure you are prepared. I have much more on what to wear. But still, it's another day you want to dress in layers this morning and into the afternoon, all throughout the Hudson Valley. It's still a dark and early start into that six o'clock hour. Just before seven o'clock in the morning, we'll have a brighter sky around some sunshine to start off the day and we'll actually see, uh, not really see much in terms of any flurry, like we saw some of those snow showers yesterday, but just this kind of paints a picture of what's going on 37 for the high today. Still feeling like the twenties at best into the afternoon, but tomorrow's high is 46. It'll be chilly at times tomorrow. It can feel like the upper thirties into the afternoon, but not nearly as cold feeling as this right now. And what will feel into the afternoon today. So 13 is what it feels like in Middletown. 22 in Poughkeepsie, right at 20 in white plains 19 in the city of Yonkers right now. So you want the, the gloves, the hat, the coat a few extra layers this morning and into the afternoon. Temperatures again today, mid thirties notice how there's a fair amount of gray by this afternoon. That's just clouds. Not as much in terms of flurry or snow shower activity is what we saw yesterday. Most of today will be dry and then overnight tonight it gets cold again with partly cloudy skies and then tomorrow expect a lot of sunshine on Thursday. It is the pick of the week temperatures recover into the mid forties during the afternoon hours. Tomorrow. Here's a look ahead. So big improvements tomorrow, in terms of how it feels outside, it will stay feeling like the upper forties to near 50 most of the next 10 days after today, a period of light to moderate rain showers midday, Friday through early Friday evening, Saturday, the drier, half of the weekend could be a couple of showers. Sunday, better chance for a few showers on Monday before turning drier into the middle of next week.

It was hard for me to get out of bed this morning because I just knew it was so, yeah, it's another cold morning. Temperatures are a little bit of below average, but it's that wind. You can hear the wind rattling the windows a little bit still gusting close to 30 MPH at times and our air temperatures are in the twenties, typical, average low now is 34 degrees. Good morning. Our friends in Riverhead are at 27. You're at 27 right now in Rocky Point, starting off this morning. 29 in Bay Shore 27 from Hempstead, the Valley Stream 28 degrees right now in Glen Cove and 34 currently in Montauk. When you factor in that wind 1020 up to around 30 MPH at times, it feels like 17 from Hempstead to Uniondale 19 Glen Cove 20 in Smithtown 20 we had 25 over towards Montauk. So it's a cold start your morning around s at four today. Lots of sunshine this morning. Some clouds come in during the afternoon and temperatures only in the upper thirties. That's it. It's a cold day here on Long Island. Typical, average high for today is 49 degrees. So 10 degrees below average sunshine this morning, you'll notice a few clouds coming in during your afternoon but otherwise dry conditions. A big story. Everyone's talking about the cold weather, stay warm today. How about the gloves, the hat and a scarf. If you're going to be outside for a prolonged period of time, we have a hyperlocal high of around 39 degrees breezy and cold sunshine with a few clouds coming in during your afternoon hours. Now, we've been dry and cold and the next change comes in during late Friday and through Friday night, we are tracking some wet weather. It will become warmer, but we're going to be looking at some rain on our doorstep. So, going throughout our afternoon, temperatures are in the thirties. It is cold. A few clouds dry for the evening rush hour, dry for the morning rush hour into your Thursday. A little bit warmer weather. Temperatures in the twenties to start today, mid and upper forties for your Thursday afternoon before we track that rain going towards Friday evening and it's gone by your Saturday. All right, recapping today. Highs are in the upper thirties, sun and clouds, breezy and cold weather conditions bundle up more cold weather tonight. Low temperatures in the twenties and take a look at extended forecast. Watching the sunshine, warmer weather. Do. And that's going to be an issue when we were waking up tomorrow morning where we are going to be looking at a wind chill that is going to be hovering between, let's say 12 to about 18 above. That's what you need to be dressed for prepared for at the bus stop in the train station, getting you wherever you're going, the winds are slowly beginning to settle down, but occasionally we see a gust of 2025 miles an hour, the wind direction is still west north westerly. So that's bringing in that cold air. Tonight is going to be the coldest of the air that we've seen so far looking for widespread temperatures in the lower twenties. There might be an isolated town in the ice box up towards Sussex County that potentially gets down to about 17 or 18. And if that happens, then, you know, with the wind, it feels even colder. But I think a good starting point for tomorrow morning will be the low twenties, the winds feeling like 1213, 1418 degrees. And again, like I mentioned, that's what you should be prepared for. We're sitting at 32 dropping down into the mid twenties. Our skies are clear. There's just a few clouds around, but overall the atmosphere is beginning to dry out and cool off. We still have that lake enhanced snow machine still going out towards Western New York. Uh The, the video and the pictures that I saw from Orchard Park earlier today, you know, 68, 12 inches of snow accumulating out there. They're used to it. It's the lake and hand snow. We saw some flurries here in New Jersey. Nothing accumulated. Really. Things are quiet but there's a clear to a partly cloudy sky overhead. The cold air continues to plunge southward making it all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. So when the winds eventually change direction become south westerly, we're still dragging cold air and moving it up the east coast. So it takes a while before the temperatures begin to modify back to where they should be. And that happens by the weekend. So it's clear and cold for tonight for tomorrow. We're looking for daytime, high temperatures to barely get to 40 some recovery here for Thursday and Friday. But we see an increase in cloud coverage. And right now I'm thinking late Friday afternoon, we start to see the rain start, becomes a little bit more organized Friday evening into early Saturday morning before quieting down for the second half of the weekend.
