Two police officers in Yonkers were bitten by a dog on New Main Street on Thursday while trying to make an arrest.

Officers say they saw a man urinating in public. He had a dog without a leash and a warrant for his arrest.

When they attempted to arrest him, the dog bit both officers and also bit the man.

Police eventually arrested the man. The dog was taken to the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
