Two police officers are recovering this morning after thousands crowded the streets of Brooklyn for a rabbi's funeral.
Massive crowds turned out for the funeral of prominent Hasidic Rabbi Yisroel Avrohom Portugal.
Officials say one officer suffered a minor injury when an electric drone lost power and fell onto her. A Monsey resident owned the drone and was taken into custody.
A second officer was hurt when the hearse rolled over his foot.
Mourners also turned out in Monsey to remember the Rabbi Portugal who died on Monday.
The 95-year-old was a Holocaust survivor and the longtime spiritual leader of the Skulen Hasidic dynasty.
