A two-alarm fire on Saturday afternoon damaged an apartment complex in Elmsford.

It happened at 251 Nob Hill Drive in Elmsford. The flames were first reported just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Elmsford Fire Chief David Signor, the homeowner was not home at the time of the fire.

Seventeen fire departments including Irvington, Elmsford, Tarrytown and Port Chester responded to the mutual aid fire.

It was contained to two units. The residents in four units will be unable to return to their apartments. The Red Cross says it will assist the displaced residents.
