An Orange County man almost crashed his SUV into MTA railroad tracks Thursday after suffering a medical condition.
Tuxedo police provided News 12 with a picture from the scene that shows the 64-year-old man’s Lincoln Navigator being towed.
They say the man was driving southbound on Route 17 at around 12 p.m. when the car crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a guardrail near the tracks.
"We believe his blood sugar was low and that caused him to pass out while driving,” says Officer Girard Shiloh.
Police say the driver is expected to OK. The MTA was notified of the crash and guardrail repairs will be made.
