Tuckahoe cheerleaders took first place at a world championship over the weekend.
The team said winning first place at the High School Cheerleading Championships was a lot of work, but was worth it in the end.
“It was a lot of team bonding and a lot of enjoyment and we were able to see the fruits of our labor really pay off,” one team member said.
The “Under 14 team” also won second place in the Nationals Competition at Florida’s Walt Disney World.
