A tractor-trailer accident in Kiryas Joel knocked out power to more than 1,700 customers yesterday.
Officials say a sand truck hit a utility pole around 3 p.m. on Bakertown Road.
Utility crews were quickly on the scene, and power was restored by the evening.
No one was hurt in the accident.
