While we are likely past the worst storms of the week, there will still be a couple of chances for passing downpours and isolated thunderstorms.
Today is going to end up being a decent beach and pool day. That said, we cannot completely rule out an isolated downpour this afternoon. Most of the daylight hours should be dry though.
That changes tonight. More numerous showers, downpours and even an isolated thunderstorm will move through starting after 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. This rain will wrap up mostly before 7 a.m. Thursday. Plan on a wet start to the morning early tomorrow though.
There will still be a pop-up downpour or thunderstorm chance throughout the day on Thursday, but think of it as more typical summer-like weather. You may just need to dodge a few spotty storms through the day. The severe risk tomorrow is low, but gusty wind and minor flooding would be possible with any stray storm.
Beyond that - the weekend! Each day from Friday through early next week will have an isolated shower or downpour chance, but those days will end up being more dry than wet again. The weekend outdoor plans may be interrupted by a few showers, but it is nothing to cancel anything over at this time!
We are simply just in this type of spotty summer afternoon shower or brief thunderstorm risk for the foreseeable future. If severe weather chances increase at any time, the News 12 Storm Watch Team will have you updated with the very best and latest hyperlocal information on-air, on social media and the News 12 app.
