Last night's storm packed a punch in some areas of the Hudson Valley.
Heavy rains, wind, thunder and lighting rolled in after a very hot and humid Tuesday afternoon. Along Route 202 and Kevin Drive in Ramapo, a tree was knocked down across the roadway bringing utility wires with it.
Less than 2 miles away, Spook Rock Road also had to be shut down for a time between Rose Hill and Viola roads.
The storm also caused some power outages in the area.
Orange and Rockland Utilities had to come out to Route 202 to replace a utility line. As a result, a portion of the busy roadway was closed off for hours. All roads were reopened just before 2 a.m..
