A New York state trooper is being called a hero for keeping a woman from jumping off the Tappan Zee Bridge.
State police say they got a tip last night after a Bronx woman called a friend saying she was going to jump over the bridge.
Trooper James Foley found the woman in her car, along with her 2-year-old daughter, in the parking lot of a motel, near Exit 11 in Nyack around 9:30 p.m. Foley was able to get her out of her car and speak with her before getting her to a hospital.
Her daughter was turned over to her father.
In 2009, Foley was credited with keeping a woman from jumping off the bridge, after he found her walking along the Thruway, near the span.
