A Yonkers family narrowly escaped harm when its house was crushed by a tree that collapsed during Tuesday's freak storm.
Gogy Joseph says he was making a bottle for his 9-month-old son around 11:30 p.m. when a heavy downpour hit the house on May Street, uprooting a 100-year-old tree and toppling it onto the roof.
Joseph went to his children's room when he heard the crashing sound. He says had he remained in the kitchen, he would have been buried under the debris.
Joseph says his home now has to be demolished, and his family will be renting an apartment.
