Any storm that turns strong to severe could be capable of bringing gusty winds along with the threat of torrential rains.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- These slow-moving storms are packed with moisture and if they move over the same spots over and over again, there will be excessive runoff. Be on the look out for ponding on the roadways and low-lying areas.
- The rain potential will be lowered Thursday but it will still be a day we'll need an umbrella within reach. Slow-moving pockets of rain will come around through the day. Expect on and off showers to come around, very much scattered across the region. The cold front will eventually push fully offshore Thursday evening, allowing us to dry out for Friday.
- Mostly sunny skies, lowered humidity, warm temps and a drier breeze will be around for Friday. It is the Pick of the Week!
- For the weekend, temperatures and humidity levels will gradually be on the rise. But at least the shower potential is low. Sunday evening into the overnight hours is when the next chance for rain arrives.

THURSDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - On and off batches of rain throughout much of the day. It will still be trending above average with humidity lingering. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: upper 60s.
FRIDAY: Pick of the Week - Mainly sunny with slightly lower humidity. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: mid-60s.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: mid-60s.
SUNDAY: Mix of sun and clouds with an evening shower chance. Highs: upper 80s to low 90s. Lows: mid- to upper 60s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: mid-60s.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers. Highs: mid-80s. Lows: low 60s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs: upper 70s to low 80s. Lows: upper 50s to low 60s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs: upper 70s to low 80s. Lows: upper 50s to low 60s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs: upper 70s to low 80s. Lows: low 60s.
