5h agoThe Town of Newburgh is the latest municipality to file a lawsuit in the ongoing migrant controversy.
The town filed a lawsuit in state Supreme Court Friday against the owners of the Crossroads Hotel. That is the hotel where 60 migrants were bused on Thursday from New York City.
The lawsuit states that in order to accommodate New York City Mayor Eric Adams' program to house migrants, the hotel has stopped working with town codes and the certificate of occupancy.
The lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining order, preventing the hotel from being used in the violation of town codes and the hotel be returned to its intended use.
