Many towns in Rockland County are slowly beginning to return to normal operations with safety in mind.
All Clarkstown employees are officially back in Town Hall in an effort to serve residents.
Although work was being done remotely, Supervisor George Hoehmann says they're bringing workers back safely. Some employees will be brought into new offices and protective barriers have been installed. Some employees are helping out in other departments to avoid backlog.
As for other towns -- Haverstraw had employees return May 4. Orangetown employees have slowly been reporting back to work and should all be in Monday, May 18. Ramapo is still ironing out details but is having employees working in rotating shifts between home and Town Hall.
The Congers Lake Walkway in Clarkstown reopened Monday as well. Masked walkers enjoyed the park with new rules, such as a one-way flow, limited number of entrances and signs emphasizing social distancing.
