Thursday marked the 10th anniversary of the day a Westchester college student was last seen in Indiana.
Lauren Spierer, of Edgemont, went missing on the morning of June 3, 2011, in Bloomington, Indiana. She was 20 at the time of her disappearance.
Investigators says Lauren was last seen leaving a fellow Indiana University's student's apartment to walk back to her place.
Numerous searches over the last 10 years, along with thousands of interviews, tips and search warrants have yet to determine what happened to Lauren.
Lauren's mother took to Facebook Thursday morning to share this message, in part, "Ten years later I still struggle. As always, hoping today is the day... Lauren, lost but never forgotten, forever in our hearts."
Bloomington Police Chief Michael Diekhoff says their investigation remains ongoing.
"Overall since 2011, BPD has received 3,600 tips with approximately 1,100 of those determined to be actionable and assigned with additional follow-up. In short, BPD continues to vigorously investigate this with our partners."
They've also executed at least 10 search warrants related to the case.
Local police and the FBI continue to receive tips through email, a special hotline and social media pages.
