In Rockland and Orange counties, trouble spots include Route 59 in Nanuet, Route 32 in Highland Mills, Route 9W, Storm King Highway, and the Palisades Parkway are among the usual trouble spots
Unfortunately, the ground is already saturated from heavy rains last month, and recent snowfall over the weekend exacerbates the situation.
Concerns also loom over possible downed power lines and outages due to strong winds.
County officials emphasize the importance of heeding possible road closures, urging people not to attempt driving through flooding, especially if water depth isn't visible. They also stress not to drive around or move barriers on closed roads as they serve a critical purpose for safety.
