A student has been arrested in a threat that put a Putnam County middle school on a two-hour delay Thursday.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of a threat of violence at the George Fischer Middle School in Carmel around midnight.
The office says it investigated the matter and arrested a student three hours later.
The case has been referred to family court.
Officials say there was no danger of threat to the safety of students and faculty at the school.
The district has been at the center of controversy over recent TikTok videos, which included racist slurs.
Administrators say they disciplined three high school students they believe were involved in the posts.
It's unclear if those videos have any connection to Thursday's threat.
The district says it has dealt with a total of four alleged threats over the last 48 hours.
District officials say one involved Kent Elementary, another involved Kent Primary, one was not substantiated and the fourth  was from a student George-Fisher Middle School Thursday morning.
