A 9-year old girl from Thornwood is creating her own version of "A Christmas Story."
For the second year in a row, Alexis Stratigakis has collected coats and toys and raised money for those less fortunate.
"Other kids should be happy and not sad with no toys," she says. "If they have toys, they'll at least get a chance to play."
This year's toys will be distributed among the children living at the Coachman Family Center in White Plains.
Additional toy donations are coming from The Southern Westchester BOCES Homeless Student Program in Harrison.
