A furry staff member at a funeral home in White Plains is offering comfort to people during their most difficult times.
The 1-year-old golden doodle, named Lulu, is a therapy dog at Ballard Durand Funeral Home.
"She has an uncanny knack for knowing who needs her and who she needs to go see," says owner Matt Fiorello.
Fiorello says he thought about adding Lulu to the staff after going through his own stressful situation at an airport.
"Flights were canceled and tempers were flaring and everyone was really frustrated, and I saw this woman walk by with a little Maltese," he says. "I just saw this wave of calm over everybody, myself included."
Lulu has been working at the funeral home for just over a month.
