A brand-new theater is making its debut in Ossining.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday to formally open the Westchester Collaborative Theater on Water Street.
The venue is welcoming performances involving music and dance.
Officials say the WCT promotes the importance of live theater in the community. "It's a black box theater. It's intimate. It can be used for a variety of purposes, and our goal is to make it utilized 24/7 so that it gets a lot of use, and our community will be a part of the growth of the theater itself," says WCT Executive Alan Lutwin.
