Amazon Prime Day 2023 is a few days away and other retailers are already gearing up for a fight.

Consumer Reporter Janice Lieberman has the Real Deal on all the sales.

Target and Walmart have already announced their preemptive sales.

Amazone Prime Day is being held July 11 through the 12, but Target and Walmart are beating them to the punch.

Target shoppers get seven days to grab bargains on their “Target Circle Week” on July 8 to July 15. Unlike Amazon, you don’t need to pay for a membership.

Barbie products are 20% off and Keurig, Lenova and Dyson stick vacuums are all slashed in price.

But don’t count Walmart out. Walmart starts its sale July 11 through July 13, but it’s plus members get to shop early on July 10. You need to be a member for that, and it runs $98 a year, but offers perks like unlimited free shipping on orders over $35.

Amazon’s sale runs July 11 through the 12 and there are invites to get access to early sales.

Kristie McGrath of Retail Me Knot says Amazon is trying to ease the pain of missing a deal.

“We've seen a lot of retailers contending with consumer frustration about the best deals selling out quickly and having to hit refresh and try to get something in their cart that just they can't get to show up in their cart about bots getting deals before they can. So this is sort of Amazon's way of telling its members, Yeah, we see you, we see this frustration,” says McGrath.

Amazon Prime Membership runs $139 a year.

Experts say don’t get carried away with lightening sales – you still have to comparison shop. In addition, check to see if another retailer is offering cash back or better rewards.
