The 2022
International Music and Dance Festival has returned to New Rochelle after a
two-year hiatus due to the pandemic
The festival
featured children and adults from the Mexican Dance
workshop.
The workshop was
led by Calpulli Mexican Dance Troupe professionals.
The festival was
hosted by New Rochelle Public Library and New Rochelle Downtown Business
Improvement District.
"We have not
only people from Mexico, we have you know, people from Guatemala, people who
were born here in America, but they have the interest to learn a new
dance, to learn a new culture," says Maria Hernandez, one of the dancers
and a New Rochelle Public Library assistant.
