A children's musician in Rockland who is under quarantine for coronavirus is now turning to music to help himself and others during a difficult time.

Matt Krass said he tested positive and was told to quarantine for 14 days.

He said he has had mild symptoms and has been trying to perform a daily concert for people he is connected to on social media.

Krass jokingly says his weekly Facebook concerts are "Live from the COVID-19 basement" where he entertains families and their children with upbeat songs.

He says his inspiration is Chris Martin from Coldplay who is also using social media to connect with people during a new norm of social distancing.

Musicians around the world are doing the same, including Italian opera singer Maurizio Marchini, who raised spirits by singing from his balcony during lockdown in Florence.
