A new rule is now in effect for airport security screening.

TSA screeners can now force you to go through body scanners, even if you want to opt out.

Passengers could previously choose a full body pat down, but a TSA spokesperson says the scanner does not store personal information and improves the detection of metallic and non-metallic objects that a pat down might miss.

The change is a result of concerns of terror plots on commercial airlines.
