Tenants say a Monticello apartment complex has failed to provide heat and hot water to tenants for weeks.
Dozens of tenants at Monticello Meadows claim they have had no heat or hot water in below-freezing temperatures for weeks. Some units are also flooded on top of being without heat or hot water.
One tenant gave News 12 cellphone video of the conditions in her apartment over the weekend when a broken pipe flooded the hallway.
Monticello officials confirm the Building Department has been to the complex and that conditions are so bad, 15 to 20 units are in the process of being condemned.
News 12 tried speaking to management Monday, but they shied away from cameras and refused to comment about the conditions or repairs.
Monticello officials say management has been unresponsive to their requests for information, and that the development is facing hefty fines per unit, per day.
Village officials say Monticello Meadows has a history of violations and that they are working to relocate tenants affected by the current conditions.
