A driver was lucky to escape serious injury after he lost control of his SUV, and it slammed into a tree in Ramapo overnight.
Police say the crash happened on East Eckerson Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
They say the vehicle slammed into a swing and other items in a yard before hitting a tree.
No one in the yard was hit.
Police say the man driving the SUV appears to have suffered some type of medical episode. He was taken to the hospital for treatment
