A 19-year-old is in custody today after being accused of raping a 15-year-old student inside a classroom at Bronx Preparatory Charter School.

A police source says the victim knows the suspect. They say she voluntarily performed oral sex with the suspect, but yesterday he pushed for more. The police source says the victim tried to push the suspect away but failed, and that's when Kevin Simpson allegedly raped her.

According to the police source, the attack happened inside an empty classroom at the school. They say the girl was apparently waiting for a teacher for extra help but the teacher never showed.

The victim notified a friend and then a teacher and guidance counselor about what happened. School officials then called 911.

Simpson is charged with first-degree rape.
