An Orange County building superintendent says he was pistol-whipped and robbed in his own apartment.

William Rivera, 59, says he believes that he was the likely target and that the suspects, who are still on the loose, knew he had just collected rents.

The Middletown superintendent says he answered a knock on his door Wednesday night and that two masked men pushed their way in. They allegedly pistol-whipped him onto the floor of his Linden Avenue apartment, stole cash collected for the landlord and then took off.

The suspects are described as two men who are 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches. Both of the men were wearing white hockey masks, and one suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
