The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office made its first arrest for a violation of
Dean's Law, the county's new Animal Abuse Registry.
Sheriff's officers were tipped off to two convicted animal abusers who were illegally in possession of animals this week.
They arrested a 32-year-old man and woman in possession of three dogs, four cats, one snake, two gerbils and one bearded dragon.
Both suspects were convicted of animal abuse in 2017.
They were prohibited from possessing animals for seven years.
