A special fundraiser is being held for the families of two NYPD officers who were gunned down in Brooklyn last week.
The Suffern Police Department is selling T-shirts that honor the memory of officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, with the proceeds going toward the victim's families.
Suffern Police Chief Clark Osborn said the idea to sell the shirts came immediately after hearing the news about the shooting.
"We decided to get this fundraiser going to do something positive and show the NYPD and the public that we care and to keep this community safe," Osborn told News 12.
Shirts cost $15 and were available from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Suffern Community Center.
