A Rockland County high school student and Sen. David Carlucci joined forces to repair a damaged POW-MIA flag.
Samuel Bethon, a student in the military appreciation club at Suffern High School noticed the POW/MIA flag was tattered and torn so he contacted Sen. Carlucci. Carlucci then donated a new flag to the school and presented it to the club at a ceremony Monday morning.
The ceremony included the singing of The Star Spangled Banner and the raising of the new flag.
Sen. Carlucci's Operation Raise the Flag program helps replace worn American and POW/MIA flags in Rockland County.
