The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in place for much of the Hudson Valley region, effective through Thursday morning.
News 12 Meteorologist Joe Rao says a wave of warmer temperatures changed the snow to rain in southern Westchester for a few hours Wednesday afternoon before returning to snow again.
Snowfall totals should be between 6 and 10 inches in upper elevations in areas north and west of Westchester County, while other regions should be in the 3-6 inch range. Areas south of I-287 can expect between 1 and 3 inches.
Thanksgiving Day is expected to be dry with highs in the upper 30s.
