The girl reported missing from Stony Point yesterday has been found safe.

Police say Kacie Downey was found just before midnight at her friend's house nearby. The 16-year-old was missing for more than a week.

Officials say she ran away from home.

Downey is now in a shelter and will go to family court before returning home.
