A student-athlete in the Hudson Valley has died in Australia.

According to a statement from St. Thomas Aquinas College, Eric Birighitti was back in his home country when he died in a water accident.

It is not clear what exactly caused that accident.

Birighitti was in the school of business and a member of the soccer team.
