Spring Valley man sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2 fatal shootings

A Spring Valley man will spend 20 years in prison following a guilty plea in two fatal shootings in the village.

Jack Ramirez, 22, was sentenced yesterday in Rockland County Court, according to a court website.

Ramirez pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter earlier this year.

The first shooting took place in January 2020. Juvenson Paul, of Spring Valley, was shot and killed before his car crashed into a building in Prospect Gardens.

The second happened in May 2021. Tyriiq Seward was shot while walking on Rose Avenue.

Ramirez was arrested in February of last year.
