Friday's spring snowstorm prompted schools around the region to release students from class early.
Lakeland High School closed its doors at around 10 a.m. Students there say it's their second early dismissal and sixth snow day of the year.
"There's no telling how bad the weather is going to be later, so it is good for students to be released early and get home safe," said one Lakeland High School parent.
Students were originally scheduled to be off Friday, but the day off had been canceled because students already had used up several snow days this year.
