As the Democratic primary campaign enters its final days, gubernatorial candidate Eliot Spitzer kicked off a statewide bus tour Wednesday.
Spitzer stopped in Croton to meet with residents on his first day of a three-day tour. The trip is a way for Spitzer to meet the voters and hear their concerns first hand. Sptizer plans on attending rallies, touring businesses and, as in Croton, taking part in informal gatherings in residents? homes.
The topics Spitzer discussed ranged from property taxes to the health of the Hudson River. Spitzer says he enjoys meeting the public and getting their input. At this point, Spitzer is considered the front-runner in the Democratic primary, which is September 12. To win that race he has to defeat Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi.
