5h agoThe spirit of giving was alive and well at the Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon this Thanksgiving.
The annual holiday meal has typically been held as a sit-down dinner indoors.
This year, smiling volunteers were giving people their Thanksgiving feasts to go due to COVID-19 precautions.
Senior associate pastor William Mizell says the meals are purchased with money from a church fund and then lovingly prepared by members of the congregation.
They are expecting to serve approximately 250 dinners this year.
